关于动词过去式和was的时态问题.

第一句写错了，应该是 She was tormented by her toothache 或 She tormented者herself by the toothache.

一句话是什么时态反应胡让或在谓语动词上。裤伍这两句话的谓语动词分别是 was tormented 和 was，它们都是过去式，所以都是一般过去时，都表示牙疼这件事情是发生在过去，现在不疼了。
第一句 She was tormented by her toothache 是滑仿被动语态，强调 she 受到 toothache 的行为 tormented (折磨)。
第二句 She was in torment with her toothache 是主动语态，强调 she 处于 in torment (折磨中) 这种状态。

was是be的一般过去式，be的过去式有俩个，单数was，复数were。
was过去分词也就是be的过去分词是been。通常和have/has +been构成现在完成时；和had+been构成过去完成时。
例句：
That was my fault. （念缺灶过去式，主语是单数，所以用was）
那是我的过错。
Few of my friends were there.（过去式，仔扮主语是friends是复数，所以用were）
我的朋友中几乎没有人在那里。
I have been a resident of the GMT+8 time zone for nearly 40 years. （现在完成时）
我在东8时区居住了将近四十年。
I felt as if I had been born again.（过去完成时，这里表示对过去虚拟，用虚拟语气）
我有一扮侍种再生之感。
