就 动词+ing 而言，主要看它在句子里的作用，作定语或状语的是现在分词短语，作宾语的是动名词。如，
The girl is fond of singing. (singing 是 fond of 的宾语，动名词）
I knoe the singing girl. (singing 修饰 girl, 是定语， 现在分词）
She comes into the room singing. (singing 修饰整句, 是状语，现在分词。）
