Abstract:
Small and medium-sized enterprises play a significant role in the economic and social development in our country in terms of adjustment of the economic structures, development of active and affluent markets, increasing employment opportunities, development of the local economies, as well as increasing revenues. However, financing issue has always hampered the development of small and medium-sized enterprises. Especially in the condition of the financial crisis, financing has prominently become a major hindrance to the development of these enterprises. It is urgent to solve the difficult problem of financing for businesses.
In this paper, a literature review method is adopted, along with the basic approaches of raising questions, analyzing them, and solve them, so as to study the subject of selecting financing channels for small and medium-sized enterprises in the financial crisis. The paper first reveals the current financing conditions of small and medium-sized enterprises in the global financial crisis, and points out problems during the financing process, such as the direct financing channels are narrow, the costs and risks of financing are high. Second, the paper analyzes the reasons causing the difficulties of financing for these businesses. As the paper shows, the reasons are various, such as the weakness of businesses themselves, imperfection of financial institutions, arrested development, imperfection of laws which protect the development of enterprises. Finally, according to the problems in the financing process for enterprises, the paper puts forward some measures to solve the difficulties, aiming at explore an approach to dealing with the difficult problem of financing for small and medium-sized enterprises in the financial crisis.
