✀with respect to✀与 regarding✀在用法上有什么区别

1）with respect to, 关于, (至于)谈到，后面可接名词或动名词，如
With respect to climbing plants, I need not repeat what has been solately said.
至于攀缘植物,我们刚在上面讲过, 现不再赘述.
At these imperfections the stresses will not be linear with respect to thepressure.
在这种有缺陷的地方,应力不再与压力成线性关系.
比较正式，经常用于商务文稿中。在英式英语中，还可以说in respect of，后者更加正式。
2）regarding作介词时表示“至于，关于”后面一般接名词，不接动名词，相比而言，regarding的正式程度略微低些，口语中也经常说。当然，同源的词，更正式的用法还可以用with/in regard to，以及in this/that regard。
