如：It was not long before he left his room. 没过多久他就离开了自己的房间。
It didn't take two hours before he finished his homework. 没过两个小时，他就写完了作业。

2. It was/took + long/具体的一段时间 + before从句（一般过去时）。

如：It was/took long before he finished the work.
过了很久他才完成了工作。

3. It will be/take + long/具体的一段时间 + before从句（用一般现在时表示将来动作）。

如：It will be half a year before they graduate from college.
要过半年，他们才会大学毕业。

4. It won't be/take + long/具体的一段时间 + before从句（用一般现在时表示将来动作）。

如：It won't be/take long before I call you back.
不用过很久，我就会给你回电话的。
