我父母要来澳大利亚探亲。我需要提供邀请函（英文）一封。

澳大利亚使领馆从2009年下半年开始对676签证的文本提出了官方的严格翻译要求，所以，邀请函是要用英文来写的。如果源文是中文，那么需要翻译成英文。没有英文的话，可能在递交申请前，被使领馆要求补充翻译件（不排除由于使领馆接收材料的窗口接待员的疏忽，把没有英文翻译的材料收了进去这种微乎其微的可能性。这种情况不在我们的讨论范围）。邀请函英文模板大致如下：

Letter of Invitation

To whom it may concern,

My name is XXX (拼音). I am writing this letter to invite my parents - Mr. XXX (DoB XX/XX/XXXX, passport No. XXXXXXXX) and Ms. XXX (DoB XX/XX/XXXX, passport No. XXXXXXXX) to visit me during the period of XX/XX/2011 - XX/XX/2011. I am currently an enrolled student at XXX School/College/University (这里指的是你目前就读的学校名称), commencing study in XX/XXXX.

It has always been on my schedule to invite my parents to come to Australia to visit my school, my house and my friends here. They are also very interested in seeing my everyday life in a new environment. Besides, I will guide them sightseeing Sydney (你读书学校所在地), as well as Melbourne, Canberra, Gold Coast if I have enough spare time (这个要看你父母来的时间段，如果是假期来，那么就顺理成章；如果是平时你读书期间来，那么就不要写那么多地方了).

Hopefully, their visa applications could be approved shortly and they are able to land on Australia to join me in the near future.

Re: Invitation Letter

Dear Sir/Madam,

I, ____________, residing at _________________, would like to invite my mother, _________, residing at _____________, to visit us in Canada for about ____ months starting from ________.

The purpose of the visit is social as well as tourism within Canada. During her visit, she will stay with us at the above address and we will be responsible for all her expenses including the round trip air fare to Canada, food, housing, travelling within Canada, medical insurance and her all the other expenses.

We will make sure that my mother will leave Canada before the expiration of her authorized stay. Please kindly grant her a Temporary Resident Visa.

很多自认为英文不错的，写出来也全是语法错误。。。。
反正是中国读，你怎么写，都能读懂的
不用写长了，就是走个形式。

老兄就用中文写就行。都是中国人审理，我父母上周刚签下来，我写的邀请信就是中文，就两句话，非常想念之类的。。邮寄过去护照到收到护照一周时间，非常简单。。
