Due to the difference in cultural and historical background, various colors in Chinese and Thai culure have different implications, though some of them are similar while others are not. This aticle focuses on the symbolism of the common colors these nations and examines the reasons behind it to provide a through understand of the culture difference between Chinese and Thailand in order to promot the cultrual exchange between the nations. Through the study of comparison, interviews, reading, and researches regarding the social issues of Thailand, the author concluded that the resources of the variation of color in the two cultures are historic background, social development, social issues, religious belief and conventional traditions especially the external impact that had deep influence in the developing societies; all of which are reflected through colors. Through this investigation, one may conclude that Thai colors are very distinct, as a small window to the society, it had relfected the true about Thai's social issues.
