Title: The Development and Application of a Type 101 Ignition Composition
Abstract: This paper discusses the initiating efficiency variation pattern of Type 101 ignition compostion on high explosive. A new Type 101 ingnition composition is developed and the minimum explosive quantities of six ignition compostions made up of Type 101, 102, 103, 104 ignition compositions are tested and defined under the same condition. It is found that the ignition composition with 104 as oxidizer has the strongest initating efficiency. The influence of ingredient composition, density of loading, and constraining strength of the shell toward the initiating efficiency are analyzed. The effective methods to improve the initiating efficiency and the ingredient composition variation rules are suggested. The design of a simple structure DDT detonator is proposed.
