prepare和prepare for 两者在用法上一般都可以互相转换，但是从本质上看它们还是有差别的，只要注意一下它们后面所接的对象就可以了。 1）prepare: 准备，后接直接准备的对象，谓语动作直接体现在宾语上。 eg. Mother is preparing lunch.（母亲正在准备午饭。） 2）prepare for: 为……作准备，for 后的宾语为准备的目的。 eg. The students are preparing for the exam.（学生们正在为考试作准备。） 3）prepare……for……为……作准备…… eg. The students are preparing their lessons for the final exam.（学生们正在为期末考试作准备。）
