珠海市理工职业技术学校创办于1988年，是一所公办国家级重点职业学校、全国首批“国家中等职业教育改革发展示范校”建设学校（2013年9月4日通过广东省教育厅、人社厅、财政厅“国家中等职业教育改革发展示范校”联合验收组全面验收，正准备接受国家级验收）、国家技能型紧缺人才培养培训基地、中央财政支持项目学校、广东省职业教育实训基地、珠海市第五职业技能鉴定所。
学校现有三个校区，占地面积305亩，建筑面积11.5万平方米。学校开设有汽车运用与维修、电气运行与控制、动画设计、计算机网络技术、现代物流、经贸管理等九大专业群32个专业方向，其中汽车运用与维修、电气运行与控制、动画设计、计算机网络技术、电气技术应用、电子技术应用、现代物流共7个专业是广东省重点建设专业。拥有汽车技术实训中心、电气技术实训中心、计算机网络实训中心、计算机美术设计实训中心、物流实训中心等100多个实训室，校内实训室总面积达到30000平方米以上，设备总值达8000万元。学校现有全日制中职学历教育在校生7200多人，是目前我市办学规模最大的一所高中。在编教职工427人，其中专任教师393人、高级教师125人、研究生学历34人、双学位教师22人、技师125人、双师型教师209人、省及市职业技能鉴定考评员69人。
