As soon as the tiger rolled over, Wu Song hid away again. The tiger was in a hurry and roared loudly. He hit Wusong with his tail. Wusong jumped away again. In the instant when the tiger turned around, he raised his whistle stick and hit the tiger head with all his strength. 

Just listen to "click" and the whistle stick hits the branch. Wu Song threw away half of the stick and sat on the back of the tiger. He grabbed the skin on the tiger's head with his left hand and hit the tiger's head with his right hand. 

Before long, he bled his eyes, mouth, nose and ears everywhere and could not move on the ground. Wu Song was afraid of the tiger pretending to be dead. 

He raised the semi-sentinel stick and hit it for a while. When he saw that the tiger was really out of breath, he stopped. From then on, Wusongwei was famous for its earthquake.

老虎兽性大发，又向武松扑过来，武松扔掉半截棒，顺势骑在虎背上，左手揪住老虎头上的皮，右手猛击虎头，没多久就把老虎打得眼、嘴、鼻、耳到处流血，趴在地上不能动弹。武松怕老虎装死，举起半截哨棒又打了一阵，见那老虎确实没气了，才住手。从此武松威名大震。

一、武松原型

明初洪武年间，梧塍徐氏九世徐麒（徐霞客高祖）以布衣承诏出使四川，功成辞官回到故里，名扬一时。徐麒请苏州(一说为钱塘即杭州)隐士施耐庵到家里当私塾先生。施耐庵就住在祝塘镇环境幽美的大宅里，边教书边写作《水浒传》，当地人都尊称他为“耐庵公"。

武松景阳冈打虎，写得栩栩如生。据说当时施耐庵不过是到大宅里村后的后阳岗散步，见有条黄狗睡在松树下，一名庄丁武阿二把黄狗打跑了。施耐庵回家便以此为原型进行创作，把后阳岗改作景阳冈，黄狗变成吊睛白额虎，武阿二成了武松。

二、地理位置

景阳冈位于阳谷县城东16公里张秋镇境内。传为《水浒传》中描述的武松打虎处，也是龙山文化城遗址所在地。总占地面积33.3公顷，其中水面10公顷。景区内沙丘起伏，莽草丛生，林荫蔽日，一派荒野景象。

其主要景点有三碗不过冈酒店、乡民告示处、县衙告示处、山神庙、武松打虎处、石碑、虎啸亭、武松庙、湖心岛、钓鱼台、碑林、虎池、猴山、鹿苑、箭场等20余处。“武松打虎处”石碑为南宋时期所立。

The tiger leapt again， but Wu Song managed to evade it. The beast got so angry that it used its tail to sweep toward Wu Song. Wu Song jumped to dodge the attack. He lifted his cudgel to hit the tiger while it was turning around， but his cudgel caught the branches of a tree and broke in two. The tiger was annoyed and launched another assault. Wu Song threw away the remnant of his cudgel and jumped onto the back of the tiger. With his left hand， he grabbed the skin of the head of the tiger， and he used his other fist to hit the eyes， mouth， nose and ears of the tiger. Before long， the tiger was bleeding all over and lied on the ground motionless. Wu Song was afraid the tiger was pretending to be dead， so he wielded the broken cudgel to hit the tiger until he was sure the tiger was dead. The incident on Mount Jingyang made Wu Song famous far and wide.
