Usually, membrane is a very thin layer transparent membrane composed with two layers of phospholipid, and it's attached to cell wall perfectly, you can not distinguish it with cell wall unless membrane is separated with cell wall. If you want to see it, dip the tissue in 1% salt solution and plasmolyze the cell wall with plasmid, and then you can see the framework of the cell membrane.
